Step 1:

You can create a more secure password by starting with a simple phrase. For example, let's use a quote from Ogden Nash: "Happiness is having a scratch for every itch."

If we use the first letter of each word, and substitute 4 for "for", we get:

This is a reasonably strong password but we can improve it a bit by adding some special characters:

We can use our new password on several different websites by adding a prefix or suffix with a mnemonic link to a particular site. Let's use the first letter and the next two consonants in the site name.

Just to add a bit more randomness we'll alternate upper-case and lower case, and if the first character in the site name is a vowel we'll start with upper-case. To mix things up a bit more we'll use the same rule to decide whether to add the site mnemonic to the left side or the right side.

This is just one possible rule for picking the prefix or suffix that you use to customize your password for each web site. Reversing the order of the letters in the suffix, using only vowels, only consonants, or adding some other characters that come to mind when you think about the web site are all possible approaches that will improve security.

While this technique lets us reuse the phrase-generated part of the password on a number of different websites, it would still be a bad idea to use it on a site like a bank account which contains high-value information. Sites like that deserve their own password selection phrase.

“How you can Write protect your Pen Drive” or “How you can prevent your pen drive from getting infected”.

In the last post i had shown u the same @Make your USB/Pen drive write protected for PC. But this the trick how you can do so manually !!!  

Things to note before doing this:
    As the trick will write protect your pen drive, you will not be able to transfer anymore data until you disable it again (works best if you only wish to copy or read something from the drive).
    You need Admin rights to work upon the registry editor.
Steps to make your drive Write Protected:

1.    Open Registry Editor by typing regedit in Run dialog.
2.    Navigate to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\
3.    Find a sub key inside it named “StorageDevicePolicies”. If it does not exist there then we need to make it. Right click on “Control” key -> New -> Key. Name it “StorageDevicePolicies” without quotes.

4.    Now right click on this newly created key and then click New -> DWORD value and name it as “WriteProtect”.

5.    Modify this key and give it a value 1.

6.    Click OK, and remember to restart the PC.
Now no more data can be transferred to the drive but to start using the drive again just give the “WriteProtect” key a value of 0 instead of 1 and restart the PC.

The ad, from long-time agency TBWA\Media Arts Lab, continues the approach of previous iPad 2 commercials, basing the pitch around a simple open-ended setup. In the last ad, it was “If you asked.” It began, “If you ask a parent, they might call it intuitive…” and continued a series of “If you asked” scenarios.

The latest setup is “We’ll always,” which starts, “We’ll never stop sharing our memories or getting lost in a good book. We’ll always cook dinner and cheer for our favorite team,” which leads to the kicker: “But how we do all this will never be the same.” (In an interesting side note, the ad shows a child who has spelled out the word “lion,” a possible nod to the company’s new Mac OS.)

Given Apple’s success, it’s hard to second-guess the “product as hero” approach, which is strengthened by a warm voiceover by actor Peter Coyote. While there’s nothing new in the ad, it continues Apple’s attempts to woo fence-sitters who may be intimidated by the technology.

Combining Google Plus with Facebook and Twitter is now possible using Crossrider addon and certainly is the next best thing we can do as Google + is just upon arrival and may need much time to build contacts or to be familiarize with. By merely integrating it to our network of friends in popular social networking sites will simply make things much faster.

All you may need to do is just go to Crossrider installing page here which is compatible with your chosen browser of Internet Explorer, FireFox and Google Chrome. PLEASE DO NOTE that before installing Crossrider extension you should know that there’s currently a thread on Reddit here commented by RogueDarkJedi saying the addon acts like malware and the service is a security vulnerability waiting to happen and the extension is dependent on remote external javascript which Mozilla does NOT approve of such practices for reasons that could lead to MITM attacks and server security.

Crossrider is recommended by most established sites but we just doubt that the extension is completely safe to make use of. On the other hand, if you’ve installed the addon and want to remove it now, you can follow instructions by RogueDarkJedi here.

Is there anything that Google can't do? Google has just announced on its official blog that it can tell users if their computers have been infected by malware. If you're performing a search on Google and notice a large yellow box on the top of the screen telling you that "Your computer appears to be infected", then there's probably some unwanted software on your computer that could possibly be causing harm.

Besides issuing users the warning about malware, Google is also kind enough to provide links to resources to help them get rid of the problem. While there's no guarantee they'll detect 100% of all malware, or if the solutions they present can help, it's a lot better than having no warning at all. I guess they're also giving consumers one more reason to use its search engine over its competitors. I wonder if the rest will follow suit.

If you want to block certain websites on your computer without any software then this trick can be very helpful to you.You can block any number of websites and if blocked they cannot be opened in any browser like google chrome,firefox,opera and Internet explorer.
For this trick we will edit the host file of the windows and will use the Ip address 127.0.0.1 (i.e localhost).Whenever somebody will try to open the blocked website the user will be redirected to local host.This trick works in windows xp,vista and windows 7 .
Here is the Trick To Block Any Website On Your Computer
Open My Computer/Computer
Navigate to your Operating system drive (Usually C drive)
Now goto Windows –>System32–>drivers–>etc
Here you will see your Hosts file.Open this file with notepad.
Now move to the last line in this file and add the address of the website to be blocked prefixed by 127.0.0.1

For example In the screenshot below I have blocked facebook.com on my computer

Here are some essential web design tips that every web site should follow. Design your web site by following these tips and I guarantee that visitors will have a great first impression of your site.

1. Fast Loading web site designs - This is the number 1 tip that every web designer should follow. You might design a web site that looks fantastic but few people are going to see it if it takes a long time to load. Your designs should be optimized for the web and should not take more than 15 seconds to load. Remember, you might have a great design but very few people are going to see it if it takes a long time to load.
2. Clear Navigation - Once a visitor has come to your site you need to make them go through your site. To do this you need to have clear navigation. Make sure all your important links are at prominent places. Preferably right on top - that's usually where a visitor first looks. Make use of menus on the right and the left. Try to link to as many pages of your site. Let your information be accessible from all parts of the site. You never know what a visitor may be interested in. Try to also use the footer for your important links.
3. All Resolutions - Today, there are computers with all kinds of resolution. They range from 640 x 480 to 1024 x 768 and go even higher. Your job is to design your site for all these resolutions. 5. Readable and professional looking fonts - Don't ask me how many times I've clicked out of a site just because the font is in Comic Sans and the color is a bright pink or green. Just by looking at the font you feel that the site is not a professional site. Don't use Comic Sans and other fancy fonts that may not be available on most computers. If the font you use is not available in a visitors computer the web site will use the default font of your computer which is much worse. So try to keep to common and professional web fonts. The fonts that I always stick to are Arial and Verdana.
6. Minimize the use of images - I believe that sometimes simple designs are the most effective for the web. Keep your site simple but neat. Don't clutter your page with big, bulky images that take ages to load. Instead use tables creatively and design eye - catching icons that will draw a visitor's attention to a particular section of your site. Tip - Visitors are usually more interested in content than in design.
7. Use of white space - Try not to clutter up your page with too many images, backgrounds and colourful fonts. Again use the Keep It Simple principle by minimizing the use of graphics and using a lot of white space. White space gives a sense of spaciousness and overall neatness to a site. Notice the white space in our site.
8. Check for broken links - Always check for broken links within a site before uploading it to your web server. In Dreamweaver you can check for broken links by right clicking on any file in the Site Files Window and then clicking on Check links - Entire Site. If you don't have this facility you need to upload your site and then check it using online tools like Net Mechanic.

Recently I’ve notice one interesting fact about Google search engine. Whenever I do search with the keyword (time), Google displays my local time, just above the search result. What is that ? Finally I got to know that, this is Google’s new feature, that will show you your local time.

You can use this feature to find out the current time for different countries such as UK , US and many more. You just have to search “current time” and add the country name just after that.
E.g. – Current time India – This will bring local time of India. So change the name India to particular country-name to see current time for that.
